Deep garnet with ruby red highlights. The bouquet is complex, mature, and elegant, where spicy notes of cinnamon and tanned leather predominate, along with fresh hay, tobacco leaf, vanilla, and cocoa powder. Noticeable too are dried plum plus hints of toasted oak and eucalyptus. The palate is full, rich, and elegant, with a well-integrated acidity and tasty fruit; a lengthy progression leads to a dry finish with a pleasantly tannic touch.
Open the bottle some hours before serving in balloon glass, at a temperature of 18–20°C.
